Peter Kurzwelly is a serial entrepreneur and business developer with 10+ years of experience working with startups and tech companies. He believes that the AI toolbox can help people and organizations solve some of our most challenging problems, and to do so we need to collaborate and build new partnerships. He is currently responsible for developing strategic partnerships for AI Sweden in Canada and works with supporting Swedish organizations in understanding how they can create value with AI.

Kalle Toivonen

Kalle Toivonen works as a Senior Specialist in City of Helsinki’s Economic Development division. Kalle’s focus area is to lead the digital testing platform theme which includes especially development projects in the field of new tech. At the moment the portfolio includes thematic of smart mobility, AI, air quality and 5G networks. Currently, Kalle is also acting as a coordinator and main contact for the FAIR EDIH.

Tomi Krogerus

Tomi Krogerus is working as a senior manager of the analytics & AI team at Cargotec’s Kalmar business area that offers cargo handling equipment and automated terminal solutions. The team is providing data based insights and analysis as well as developing data based services like Kalmar Maintenance Remote Support by using the data collected from the industrial equipment and other data assets of the company. The team is supporting the strategic development of Kalmar in the areas such as sustainability, electrification and digitalisation.

Jussi Poikonen
Awake.AI
Jussi Poikonen, D.Sc.(Tech.), is a co-founder and vice president of AI and analytics at Awake.AI, where his team develops predictive analytics, machine learning models, and optimization algorithms for the Awake.AI smart port platform. Dr. Poikonen is also an adjunct professor of microelectronics at University of Turku, Finland and has published over 80 research articles on telecommunications, emerging technologies, and neuromorphic computing.

Niko Vuokko

Dr. Niko Vuokko, Chief Technical Officer, heads Silo AI’s product development, technology, and Silo AI site leads. He is actively involved in company strategy and business development and specializes in data-driven B2B. Niko holds an olympic medal in mathematics, PhD in data science, and a broad background in software. Niko is a former Director, Strategy and Business Development at Eniram, and he has co-founded, advised, and sat on the board of several digital startups.
